Alexa, your article resonated with me. I am a retired teacher who is disappointed with the direction of our countries moral compass. I believe education can change peoples behavior and eventually their attitudes. I wrote a book about classroom management that is entitled, The secrets of a good teacher. In the book I set down a blueprint so a teacher can create educational teams in their own classrooms. A team is a democracy with the teacher as its leader, the groups moral compass. My wife said the book was a little dark so I created a positive presentation on you-tube. I hope you will watch the video. It will help you better understand why so many of our schools and our society are struggling. If you watch the video I think you will see you are one of the “children of light.” Keep fighting.
