October 10 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
From the organizers:
Domestic Violence Awareness Month, observed every October, is a time for communities to unite against domestic violence. During this time we remember those who have lost their lives as a result of abuse, celebrate those who have survived, connect with those who work to end violence, and raise public awareness about this ongoing issue in our community.
This year, Stand Strong, RISE, Cal Poly Safer, and CalPoly MenandMasculinity Programs will host a vigil to remember those who lost their lives by intimate partners. Please join us in honoring those impacted by violence, together with our staff members, advocates, and Board of Directors.
We encourage you to wear purple in solidarity with local survivors and victims of intimate partner violence.
