You will learn specific methods for building bridges with those who have different perspectives and come to see that peace begins with each of us and starts with a conversation.

BIOS:
BARBARA GAUGHEN-MULLER: Founder of Gaughen (GONE) Global Public Relations in Santa Barbara, California, Barbara Gaughen-Muller has devoted her life to a better world and serves as president of the Santa Barbara and Tri-County chapter of the United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA). Inspired by her late husband, Dr. Robert Muller, former United Nations Assistant Secretary-General (www.RobertMuller.org), and her mentor Edward Bernays, her socially responsible public relations firm is now in its twenty-fifth year. Previously she was the director of the Industry Education Council and the National Alliance of Business.

Her public relations company has won numerous awards, including Best PR Firm for five consecutive years. Current clients include Bragg Live Food Products, Inc. and Patricia Bragg, Dan Poynter, Global Ebook Awards (www.globalebookawards.com), and National Urban Search and Rescue. Author of Book Blitz, she created National Book Blitz Month, held annually in January, to honor the world’s authors, and she is past president of the Book Publicists of Southern California. Her radio show, Inspiring Conversations, featured business, educational, and spiritual leaders and was broadcast worldwide from the Radio for Peace International. Together with Robert Muller, she developed daily E-ideas for a better world, which can be found at http://www.goodmorningworld.org/ She was a Hollywood Rotarian, is a Creative Member of the Club of Budapest, and serves on the board of Surgical Eye Expeditions (SEE) International.

MARK H. FOWLER: President, Stowe Management Corporation. He specializes in transitioning companies from challenge to achievement with a focus on enhancing revenues and profits. For more than twenty-five years, he has assisted businesses in moving from symptom through problem to resolution, resulting in expanded distribution networks, technological developments, new products and services, improved profitability, increased corporate value, and enhanced corporate image. Using his knowledge and experience in corporate development, expansion programs, and business turnarounds, Mr. Fowler has assisted hundreds of businesses with corporate reengineering. His expertise includes growth management, strategic direction, business plan implementation, capability analysis, cash and financial management, systems integration, corporate reorganization, and merger and acquisition placement. His close working relationships with clients have resulted in his assuming such positions as vice chairman, chief operating officer, chief financial officer, and administrative officer.

Mr. Fowler is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, serving as Committee Member/Chair/Speaker, presenting at more than forty California CPA Education Foundation conferences. He has written numerous articles, created more than twenty-five courses, and has presented more than fifty different speeches to professional organizations on topics such as corporate expansion, crisis management, management for success, marketing strategies, effective communication for greater success, and management consulting.

NOAL MCDONALD, MAOM, SPHR: Ms. McDonald is a seasoned professional in human resources and operational management. She is currently the chief operations officer for a CPA firm in Encino, California. In this role she is responsible for managing all aspects of the firm, including HR, marketing, technology, training and development, recruiting, and facilities.

Working internally with organizations and through her own consulting firm, she has helped companies make significant cultural changes by designing and implementing HR departments, creating staff and leadership training programs, developing comprehensive talent management processes to attract and retain top candidates, and instituting policies and procedures that ensure legal compliance. Industries she has worked with include professional services, not-for-profit, media, manufacturing, and retail. She holds a master’s degree in organizational management, is certified through the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) as Senior Professional in Human Resources, and is a member of the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD).
