Women and Power in California
October 12 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
From the organizers:
Join us for a panel conversation on Women and Power in California. As creative change agents, political and community leaders, and educators and scientists, women’s voices and views have been too often left on the margins of public discourse and decision-making. Today’s women leaders, however, are striving and advocating as never before for a new and better way forward. Through their hard fought access to key positions of leadership in various fields, contemporary women exemplars are helping to lift up new possibilities in public governance, creative expression, business, and social enterprise. This panel will examine what this may mean for the future of our state, and how women’s expanded access to power and leadership could help to unlock the keys to a better future for all. Panelists will include Women’s Foundation of California president Surina Khan, Paso Robles City Councilwoman, Maria Garcia, SLO County Planning Commissioner, Dawn Ortiz-Legg and SLO County Progressives Executive Committee Member Quinn Brady. Stacie Jacob of Solterra Strategies will moderate.
This event is being sponsored by Mauer Kunst Consulting, Inc. It is free and open to the public. Wine available for $8/glass with proceeds benefiting Studios on the Park’s arts access and education efforts.
