NATIONAL & CALIFORNIA MARCH INFORMATION

About

The Women’s March on January 21st is a national movement for women, men, and children who stand for human rights, civil liberties, diversity, and compassion for our shared humanity,  including the main march in DC and local sister marches across the country.  In California there are groups organizing volunteers/groups for the DC March and then also several sister marches being held on the same day throughout the state.

California Mission Statement

Endorsed by Women’s March San Luis Obispo

“The goal of this day is for women to stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families — recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.  This all-inclusive, non-partisan event allows us to send a bold message to our administration and to the world that women’s rights are human rights.  We support the advocacy and resistance movements that reflect our multiple and intersecting identities. We call on all defenders of human rights to join us.  HEAR OUR VOICE. “

Please note:  A key piece of the mission is that the events are public, free, and non partisan.
