About Adrienne Garcia-Specht
Adrienne Garcia-Specht (she/her/ella) is a steering committee member of the Central Coast Coalition for Undocumented Student Success. After completing her Master’s Degree in English at Syracuse University, Adrienne taught freshman composition at Cuesta College and Allan Hancock College, which marked the beginning  of her service in higher education locally. Since 2015, she has been a financial aid counselor at Cal Poly, where she also serves as the current president of the Chicanx Latinx Faculty Staff Association. In 2020, she was recognized by The Wire, a student-run magazine, as one of Cal Poly’s Most Influential Women. She lives in her hometown of Arroyo Grande.
