Kara is a mom, lawyer, financial planner, and Sr. Policy Advisor for Senator John Laird (CA SD 17).  She has been involved in the conservation of over 100,000 acres in San Luis Obispo County, including Hearst Ranch, Guidetti Ranch, Cambria Coast Ranch, and in the Carrizo Plain, Irish Hills, and Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes. She serves on the Diablo Canyon Decommissioning Engagement Panel and is passionate about the conservation of and sustainable public access to the Diablo Canyon Lands, including Wild Cherry Canyon.
