In conjunction with Hear Our Vote: Voices of Resistance Rally, the History Center of SLO County will present a retrospective Women’s March SLO display and interactive pop-up exhibit on Jan. 20-21, 2018. The exhibit will commemorate the San Luis Obispo Women’s Marchers participation in the largest, single-day demonstration in US history when 10,000 people marched in downtown SLO and 5,000,000 people marched worldwide. The interactive, pop-up display will bridge our history to our future as we turn our Voices into Votes.
Organizers are asking marchers to donate their signs from the January 21, 2017 Women’s March for this event. Women’s March SLO organizers will be at Linnae’s Cafe in SLO on December 16, 2-3pm to receive signs. Please be aware that signs donated will be used outside of the History Center and may be damaged.
