Women’s March SLO, in partnership with History Center of San Luis Obispo County, invites you to celebrate the International Women’s Day with empowering words, women and wine!

Join us on March 7 (Saturday) from 3:30pm – 5:00pm as we gather at the History Center in SLO to enjoy poetry by Dian Sousa and Lisa Coffman and raise our glasses to women around the world! Wine, non-alcoholic beverages and light appetizers will be served.

This event is free to attend and all genders are welcome. Space is limited so please make sure to register. Women’s March SLO merchandise, and Dian Sousa’s book of WMSLO’s poems will be available – donations welcome!

Dian Sousa is a recipient of a 2019 Luso-American Fellowship to the DISQUIET: Dzanc Books International Literary Program in Lisbon, Portugal. She has been nominated for two Pushcart Prizes. Her third book, The Marvels Recorded In My Private Closet, was published by Big Yes Press in 2014. Her book of Women’s March SLO original poems The Third Power will be available at this event!

Lisa Coffman’s work has been featured in the Writer’s Almanac, Oxford American, BBC News, Village Voice, Philadelphia Inquirer and numerous anthologies and literary journals. She’s the author of two collections of poetry: Likely and Less Obvious Gods. Coffman’s writing has earned awards including the Stan and Tom Wick Poetry Prize from Kent State University Press, as well as fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Pew Charitable Trusts, and Bucknell University’s Stadler Center for Poetry.
