My name is Keanu LyDay, I’m a senior at Central Coast New Technology High School. I grew up in an impoverished household, in homeless shelters, women’s shelters, garages, and family floors. I got involved in political activism when I realized I had an ability to move people with my words. I now spend my time following current events, seeking the truth, and speaking the truth. I now know that despite being 17 years old, myself and my entire generation have more power than we know. I plan on studying communications and political science at a 4-year university and seek to hold public office, including President of the United States. Hello, Keanu (and a hello to your fellow students Elena, Rozella, Mason, Franko, Oliver, Izzy and…I know there were 2 or 3 more). I’m a local citizen and mom and was so moved and humbled by your eloquence yesterday at the March in SLO(in your speeches, songs and spoken word performances). Will you all be publishing the text of your speeches online anywhere? I really wanted to be able to read those words again. Thank you for your courage and your commitment to action.
