We rise together to protect immigrants, workers, the differently abled, women, children, youth, the elderly, and indigenous and LGBTQIA communities. We value education and health for all, environmental, racial, and economic justice, religious freedom, and ending the criminalization of our communities.

When: May 1, 5:30PM

Where: Railroad Station by the Jennifer Street Bridge to the Grange Hall on Broad Street where SLO Progressives will hold a BBQ (this is a one mile march on the sidewalk going from Santa Barbara Street and up Broad Street)

Purpose: To show solidarity with immigrants, undocumented students and families, refugees, and to support fair treatment of all people.

Partners: Bend The Arc, SLO Progressives and Women’s March SLO

Signage: Show up and bring a sign with a positive message rather than a hateful one

By agreeing to participate, you also agree to the attached waiver.

I hereby acknowledge that the Bend the Arc (BtA), Women’s March San Luis Obispo (WMSLO) , and/or SLO Progresives (SLOPr) organizers have not made any representations about the safety of the May Day March and/or activities. Therefore, while I am engaged in the May Day March and/pr related activities, I do hereby agree for myself, executors, administrators and assigns, that neither BtA, WMSLO, SLOPr, nor any of its organizers, volunteers, officials or representatives shall be held responsible or liable for any negligence implied or otherwise, or personal injury, or death, or property loss, or damage suffered or sustained by me in connection with or arising out of participation in the May Day March. I further understand that walking in a march is a potentially hazardous activity and that I should not participate unless I am medically able. If, as a result of my participation, I should require medical attention, I hereby give my consent for whatever care is deemed necessary by the authorized medical personnel.

Further, I do hereby, for myself, the participant, executors, and assigns, release and assume all risk whatsoever of personal injury or death or property damage or loss in connection with or arising out of or resulting from any or all activities engaged in by participant arising out of participation in the May Day March and related activities and absolve and release BtA, WMSLO, SLOPr organizers, volunteers, officials or representatives from all liability thereof, and further, I do hereby consent and agree for myself, participant, executors, and assigns, not to sue, arrest, attach, or prosecute BtA, WMSLO, SLOPr organizers, volunteers, officials or representatives on account of any such personal injury or death or property damage or loss, it being my express intent and purpose to bind myself, participant, executors, administrators, and assigns hereby.
