My name is Oliver Hicks and I am a senior at San Luis Obispo High School. I have been actively engaged in model government and politics since my freshman year when I joined my local CalYMCA Youth & Government program. Since then, I have also joined my school’s Associated Student Body (ASB), started the San Luis Obispo High School Democrats Club, attended CA Boys State, and worked on Salud Carbajal’s 2016 congressional campaign. I have always enjoyed politics because I relish the opportunity to leave a positive impact on my community and love to meet new people. Outside of politics, I play varsity baseball, write for my school’s newspaper, and play guitar.
