Pamela Parker, M.D. is a physician at the Health & Wellness Center at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
She has worn many hats in the medical profession including patient transporter, medical transcriber, Registered Nurse, Family Nurse Practitioner and currently physician. She is board certified in both Family Medicine and Obstetrics/Gynecology. She has worked in various settings including traditional hospital practice, residential eating disorders, medical school and residency educational systems, and outpatient offices. She has been medical director for the Grant County Family Planning clinic in Moses Lake WA; medical advisor for the Northern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault in Flagstaff AZ; has staffed Planned Parenthood Clinics in Michigan and Philadelphia; and is currently the Medical Director of the newly developed Cal Poly Women and Infants Mobile Unit.
The health and well-being of all humans has been her lifelong pursuit. However, women’s health care has been her passion. In her years of practice, she has found access to resources and insufficient knowledge about choices to be universal problems. Dr. Parker plans to continue being part of the solution.
In view of all the recent sexual abuses by men of power … it is time for women to teach their boys HOW TO ACT toward women when they grow up !!…
It is OUR RESPONSABILITY to educate our sons; grand sons and other on this subject !!
I am a retired RN ( Pediatric ) and would like to volunteer with Dr Parker on the numerous aspects that pertain to women in general .
Please, let me know how I can help. I live in SLO.
Thank you . I attended last year Women’s march and it was great !!
Sincerely,
Jackie .
