Join Women’s March SLO and sister marches across the US to show our support for Syrian victims and refugees and to let our government know that we support the immigration of those fleeing from the Syrian conflict. While this event is being organized by women-led movement, EVERYONE is invited!

On Thursday, April 13, 6 pm we will meet in San Luis Obispo for a vigil. Bring signs, Women’s March gear and compassion for those in need. Limited amount of postcards will be available to send to our representatives.

Our speakers include:
– Reverend Rod Richards, Minister at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Luis Obispo County
– Riman Alfadel, graduate from Damascus University, Syria, who has been living in the US since 1996
– Mirna Yackoub, born and raised in Lattakia – a coastal city in Syria – who came to the US in 2010
– Lori Barrow, a central coast native who volunteered in refugee camps in Greece. She and her husband are the directors of Youth With A Mission Pismo Beach.

Please, invite all of your friends and neighbors so we can have a successful night of kindness! Together we can increase awareness, show compassion, and collect resources for Syria and our Syrian neighbors!
